SB-TT Grate is the drainage half of the 1200mm tile tray: a stainless steel grate with a leak-control flange, made to suit the SB-TT1289.

The flange is the point

The leak-control flange ties the grate into the waterproofing rather than letting it simply sit on top. Water that finds its way under the tile is directed to the drain instead of into the floor — the difference between a shower that stays sound and one that fails invisibly.
