A towel ring holds a hand towel beside the basin. It is a small fitting, but it is the one people in the house touch most often, and it stops a wet hand towel ending up over the edge of the vanity.
The range covers round and square rings from the Mica, Mica Fluted, Mica Heritage, Milos, Supra, Jess and Tiara ranges, finished to match the rails and hooks in the same range.
Where to put a towel ring
Beside the basin, not above it — a ring above the bowl means water runs down the towel and onto the benchtop. On the wall to the side, or on the end panel of the vanity, roughly 100mm to 200mm clear of the basin edge.
Height is usually around 1100mm to 1200mm from the floor, which puts the towel where a hand naturally goes. If there are children in the house, a second ring lower down is more useful than moving the first one, because an adult will still want it at adult height.
Round or square is purely about matching. If the tapware has round plates and the rails are round, a round ring finishes it. If the room is running square plates, the square rings in the same ranges keep the line.
One practical note: a ring needs a solid fixing but takes very little load, so it can usually go into tile with the right plug. It is the towel rails that need backing behind the sheet, not the rings.
