Diamond Blades

A diamond blade cuts tile, porcelain, stone and masonry by grinding rather than sawing — industrial diamond bonded to the rim wears through the material. Which blade you want depends almost entirely on what you are cutting and how clean the edge has to be.

The range covers continuous rim, turbo, fan turbo, semi-professional and specialty blades from the Stealth range.

Which diamond blade for which cut

• Continuous rim — an unbroken edge, the slowest cut and the cleanest. This is the blade for porcelain and glazed tile where a chipped edge will show.
• Turbo — a serrated rim that clears debris and cuts faster, at the cost of a rougher edge. Good for stone, pavers and cuts that will be hidden under a trim.
• Fan turbo — segments angled to move air across the blade, for longer cuts where heat build-up is the limiting factor.
• Semi-professional — a general blade for mixed site work rather than one material.
• Specialty — blades matched to a specific material or a specific machine.

Two things to check before ordering. First, the arbor size has to match your machine — a blade that does not seat properly is dangerous, not just ineffective. Second, whether the blade is rated for wet cutting, dry cutting or both. Running a wet-only blade dry destroys the bond and the blade with it.
