A bath spout is the outlet that fills the tub. It carries no controls of its own — the temperature comes from a wall mixer or a tap set beside it — so the only decisions are shape, length and finish.
The range covers fixed, swivel and curved spouts in lengths from 160mm to 250mm, across the Mica, Mica Fluted, Mica Heritage, Kaza, Lantra, Beki, Eleniko, Cresta, Exon and Jess ranges.
Getting the bath spout length right
Measure from the finished wall face to the inside edge of the bath, then add enough that the water lands clear of the rim rather than running down it. As a rough guide, a spout should project at least 40mm past the inner edge of the tub.
That is why the same range comes in three lengths. A 160mm spout suits a bath tucked hard against the wall; 250mm is for a tub with a wide ledge or a tiled hob in front of it. Measure rather than guess — a spout that is too short pours down the outside of the bath and into the wall cavity.
The swivel models turn on the wall, which is useful where a spout serves both a bath and an adjacent shower recess, or where you want it out of the way when the bath is not in use. Fixed spouts stay put and have one less moving part.
