Basin Mixer

Work out the shape first. The Mica bodies are round and softly tapered; the fluted Mica has a ribbed face; the Heritage version carries traditional detailing. Beki and Kaza are available with round and square wall plates in their matching shower parts, so pick the one whose square-or-round decision you want to carry through the room.

Then pick the height. Standard for a basin that sits down into the bench, tall for anything sitting on top of it. The straight-bodied Mica versions are the exception worth knowing about — the spout runs straight out rather than curving, which gives a slightly different reach over the bowl.

Finish last, and keep it consistent. Every one of these ranges carries the same finish set across all its parts, so choosing gunmetal on the basin mixer means the shower rail and the towel rail can be gunmetal too.
