The part that goes into the wall before the tiles. This body carries both halves of a wall-mounted basin set, the mixer and the spout elbow, on one bracket, and it takes the Mica wall-spout combo trim kits in either the one-plate or two-plate form.
The brass is left unplated because none of it shows. The finish comes from the trim kit in front of it, which is bought separately.
