Sinks

This is the full sink range — kitchen, laundry, bar and butler — in stainless steel, from around 380mm compact bowls up to 880mm double bowl units.

The range covers the Luminare, Fomos, Dante, Impact and Lavassa lines, in drop-in and undermount, single and double bowl, with and without a drainer.

Matching the sink to the room

A kitchen sink is chosen on bowl arrangement first: single for washing large trays, one-and-three-quarter for a main bowl plus a small one, double for washing and rinsing separately.

A laundry tub is deeper than a kitchen sink and usually rated by litres rather than millimetres — 30, 35 and 45 litre are the common sizes. It has to take a soaking load, which a shallow kitchen bowl will not.

A bar or prep sink is a second, smaller bowl for a pantry, an island or an outdoor kitchen.

A butler sink has an exposed apron front and sits proud of the cabinetry, so it becomes part of the look of the kitchen rather than disappearing into the bench.

Whichever you choose, check two things: whether the tap hole is punched or blank, and whether the cabinet beneath is wide enough — a sink needs its cabinet at least 100mm wider than the bowl cut-out.
