Round Mirrors

A round mirror does something a rectangle cannot: it breaks up a bathroom made almost entirely of straight lines. Tiles, benchtop, cabinet doors, shower screen — all rectangles. One curve changes the feel of the room more than any other single change of that size.

Sizes here run from 46cm through to 120cm across, in black, gold, rose gold and frameless finishes. The most-used sizes are 60cm to 90cm, which suit a single vanity; the 100cm and 120cm pieces are for a wide wall or a hallway rather than above a basin.

Choosing a round wall mirror

Diameter is the only measurement, which makes this simpler than it looks. Aim for a mirror roughly two-thirds the width of the vanity below it — so a 60cm mirror on a 900mm vanity, or 70cm if you want it more prominent. Anything approaching the full cabinet width starts to look like it is falling off the edges.

Frame colour matters more on a round mirror than a rectangular one, because the frame is a continuous ring rather than four thin lines. A black frame reads as a strong outline. Gold and rose gold read as warm and pick up brass or copper tapware. Frameless disappears and lets the wall behind do the work.

If you are hanging two over a double vanity, centre one over each basin and leave at least 15cm between them, or they read as one wide blob rather than two mirrors.
